Mother's Day @ The Beach

This Mother's Day my family and I packed our small RV and headed to the beach. We stayed in Avila Beach and although it's only a town away, it feels like vacation. The sky was blue, the beaches filled with families, dogs and good times. On Sunday we actually went to see one of our favorite bands, the Gipsy Kings at the Cove in Avila. Beautiful to say the least! It's a small venue with a view of the ocean. At the concert we ran into another local "food allergy" family and we were able to sit together on the lawn and enjoy the afternoon. Although the venue does not allow outside food, both families were able to get in with safe snacks for the kiddos without any problems. Everyone was great....accept for the major allergy attack both my husband, myself and Alexis experienced in the middle of the night. Yikes! Whatever was blooming was powerful, but nothing a little breathing treatment and Benedryl could take care of. Yeesh...the life of the allergic family. :)
