Dairy, Egg, Tree nut & Peanut Free Cookie Perfect for Valentine's Day Decorating Parties!!!

Just in time for the food allergic community and Valentine's Day. The new Sweet Alexis Shortbread Cookie is Dairy, Egg, Tree nut, Peanut Free, incredibly delicious and ready for delivery!!!

Here's the story...ever since Alexis started school I've been struggling finding a good cookie that could be used for "cookie decorating parties". Baking the traditional "Roll Out" or "Cut" cookie was quite a challenging for me since I could not use egg as a binder. Over the years I've experimented but the cookies usually fell apart upon arrival and wouldn't you know it, I was always volunteering to supply the class "safe" cookies at all of the holiday parties so all the kids were eating the same cookie and Alexis did not feel left out. Weeks before the event I would begin to stress and then would procrastinate baking something at the last minute. I would usually make a double batch of whatever recipe I was trying to ensure some cookies would be good for the party. This cookie was my nemesis, to say the least.

Well, this past holiday season I tried a new recipe and with a few changes and tweaks I came up with a winner. Our national distributor Peanut Free Planet (www.peanutfreeplanet.com) asked me to have the cookie ready for the upcoming Valentine's holiday and a star was born! Now you too can purchase this cookie for your holiday cookie decorating parties. Believe me, no one is more thrilled than me about this delicious cookie.

A local baker friend of mine recently sampled the cookie and she was completely impressed. According to her, the texture was amazing and the taste outstanding. Thank you, Ms. O!

We call this cookie "Shortbread" because it's not too sweet, just enough do balance the sugar content of any decorative frosting. This cookie reminds of our late "GiGi's" famous shortbread, minus the dairy, eggs, tree nuts and peanuts. Every time I take a bite I'm reminded of her sweet face and contagious laugh. This cookie is dedicated to her.

The Sweet Alexis new Shortbread cookie come individually wrapped and can be stored in the freezer. You can also purchase larger quantities and sample packs at www.peanutfreeplanet.com. For all of my food allergic community and families, hopefully this cookie - a small token - causes less stress and many smiles. Enjoy!!!

Updated Domain Name

Soo...it seems that some search engines were blocking Sweet Alexis because our domain name was too similar to an adult film star with a similar domain. Can't have that! So, we've updated our domain name to www.sweetalexisbakery.com. Not to worry, if you type in the original domain you will be redirected to the new domain. All is well and we are back to baking!!!

New cookie to be launched soon!!!
